Mardi Himal is located in the beautiful Annapurna region. The trek located in the least visited region offers unspoilt beauty, making it one of the best cultural treks in the Annapurna region. If you like to venture off the beaten track, this trek may be the best option for you.
This is a short and easy trek, which allows you to discover the beauty of the Annapurna region. Mardi Himal is located east of Modi Khola, on the other side of the valley from Hiunchuli. The trek follows the less traveled track, away from the crowd, and offers a sense of exploration. The entire amazing Annapurna range is visible during the trek. The latter crosses forests of thick rhododendrons, a preserved land and takes you to 4100 m altitude in a few days of walking on the ridge that descends Machhapuchare peak (6993 m).
The region is known for its richness in flora and fauna. Habitat of Danphe, Himalayan thar, musk deer, spotted deer, snow leopard etc. whilst trekking, many other wild animals of the Himalayas can be seen during a hike in the region.
ITINERARY
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel.
Day 02: Kathmandu to Pokhara (800m) by Bus and then by jeep to Pothana(1,890m). 8hrs
Day 03: Trek to Low Camp (3,150m) 5hrs
Day 04: Trek to High Camp (3,580m) 4hrs
Day 05: Excursion to Mardi Base Camp (4500m) and descend to Sidhing (1500m) 7h, then on the way to Pokhara 1h30m
Day 06: Pokhara to Kathmandu by Comfort Bus 7h
Day 07: Departure from Nepal.
