The Annapurna region of Nepal is located a few hundred kilometers northwest of Kathmandu and is renowned for its blend of untouched nature, spectacular mountain views and culture. It is perfect for hikers who want to admire the magnificent panorama of the Annapurna range from Poon Hill (3210m) in a few days. Poon Hill is easily reached from Ghorepani where you will be enchanted by the view of Annapurnas and Dhaulagiri, mountains over 8000m. At sunrise, the view of the entire massif is breathtaking.
Our trek will start from Nayapul located one hour drive from Pokhara. From the beginning of the hike, the village life, the culture, the view of the terraced fields, the waterfalls and the green hills will charm you.
On the return we will experience one of the highlights of the trek when we pass through the village of Ghandruk, a large traditional village of Gurung. You will discover the army of “Gorkhas”, a company of soldiers trained by the English. Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1400m)
Day 02: Kathmandu to Pokhara on tourist bus and jeep to Tikhedungha (1,577m) 270km. (8h)
Day 03: Trek to Ghorepani (2800m) 10km. (6h)
Day 04: Ghorepani to Poonhill (3,210m) 4.5km.(early in the morning for the sunrise) and trek to Tadapani (2590m) 9km.(5h)
Day 05: Trek to Ghandruk (1,940m) (4h) 9.5km. (4h)
Day 06: Jeep to Pokhara (800m) (3h) 32.2km. (3h)
Day 07: Pokhara to Kathmandu 200km. (7h)
