The Annapurna region of Nepal, a couple of hundred kilometers northwest of Kathmandu, is renowned for its blend of undisturbed nature, spectacular mountain views and culture. The Annapurna Circuit is typically rated as one of the “top 20” trekking experiences worldwide. Now that is an understatement! This is a solid option for a short trek into the foothills to the north of Pokhara which includes scenic mountains and a fine slice of traditional village culture. The itinerary suits those who want to see and feel the area in a short time period. Poon hill (3210 m) is an excellent viewpoint for a panoramic view of Annapurna Himalayan range. The top of hill can be reached easily from the settlement of Ghorepani. Ghandruk is a large traditional Gurung village.
This is a short trek but probably most popular route. There is no other routes which have this much natural diversity & cultural variety. This trek start from Nayapul a hour car drive from Pokhara. In the beginning of trek village life, culture, terrace view, waterfalls & green hills’ view can be enjoyed. From Ghorepani Mt. Annapurna & Mt. Dhaulagiri Can be viewed. These are mountain over 8000 m. Poon Hill offers most spectacular view of mountains peak & sun rise over Himalayas. Ghandruk village is another attraction of this trek. Ghandruk is habitation of Gurungs who are known is â€œGurkhasâ€. Gurkhas have glorious history they created in Second World War.

Day 02: Kathmandu to Pokhara (820m)
Day 03: Pokhara to Tikhedhunga (1540m)
Day 04: Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani (2800m)
Day 05: Ghorepani to Tadapani (2590m)
Day 06: Tadapani to Ghandruk (1940m)
Day 07: Ghandruk to Nayapul (1070m) and to Pokhara.
Day 08: Pokhara to Kathmandu
Day 09: Rest day at kathmandu
