The Everest Base Camp trek is one of the classic treks in the world located in the Everest region. The scenery is remarkable and the Buddhist Sherpa are incredibly friendly. Along the trails you can see beautiful colorful prayer flags and Buddhist monuments. In addition, you can observe the glorious Himalayan Mountains.
Our trek will begin with an unforgettable flight from Kathmandu to the legendary Lukla Trail, nestled in the heart of the Himalayas. Then we will climb through the forests towards the village of Namche Bazaar, the commercial capital of Khumbu. We will spend 2 nights in Namche. The next day, we will make a detour through the Bhote Koshi Valley to the village of Thame. This itinerary will ensure the essential acclimatization to the altitude. This itinerary will allow us to explore the trails less frequented by western hikers. Finally, we will continue further up through the main valley to Gorak Shep and climb the Kala Patthar.
The views of the surrounding peaks and glaciers, including the black rock walls on the south face of Everest, are simply breathtaking! We will visit the Everest Base Camp located at the foot of the Khumbu Icefall. Finally, we will visit Thyangboche Monastery, the most important Buddhist center in the region before finishing our trek in Lukla.
